This agreement is made and effective on the date of the last signatory between Vendor and the International Kennel Club of Chicago, d/b/a the Great American Dog Show (collectively referred to herein as “IKC”).

In consideration of the mutual promises and agreements of Vendor and IKC set forth herein, the parties agree as follows:

  1. The Event will be held in the McCormick Place Lakeside Center, 2301 S. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Illinois August 25-27, 2023.
  2. Refund policy. Vendor booth sales are final as of February 1, 2023.  There will be no refunds of any kind for booth cancellations received on or after February 1, 2023.
  3. Subletting of Space. No vendor shall assign, sublet or apportion the whole or any part of the space allotted, without the knowledge and consent of management.
  4. Distribution of Advertising Matter. Distribution of circulars or advertising matter of any description, including souvenirs, will be restricted to Vendor’s booth.
  5. Arrangements of Exhibits. Vendor must arrange exhibits so as not to obstruct the general view of others. All Booth contents shall be within the confines of the booth space 10’ in depth 10’ wide and no higher than 8’.
  6. Care of Building. Acceptance of exhibit space makes it obligatory on the part of Vendor and employees that they shall  not  deface, injure  or  mar the McCormick Place Lakeside Center. Vendor is responsible for the costs incurred due to any damage.
  7. Insurance. Vendors  wishing  to  insure  their  goods  must  do  so  at  their  own   expense. IKC assumes no responsibility for the safety of Vendor’s property, its officers, agents or employees from theft, damage by  fire, accident or other cause.
  8. Restrictions. IKC reserves the right to restrict vendors for any reason, because of noise or for any other reason, become objectionable, in IKC’s sole discretion. This restriction includes persons, things, conduct, printed material, etc. No balloons are allowed at the show.
  9. Emergencies. IKC reserves the right to implement additional rules in the event of an emergency.
  10. Liability. Neither the IKC nor McCormick Place Lakeside Center will be liable for fulfillment of this contract as the delivery of space if  non-delivery  is  due  to  any one  of  the  following  causes:  act  of  God, public enemy, strikes, fire or natural disaster, authority of the law or any cause beyond their control.
  11. IKC Rule. All Vendor displays  are  subject  to  acceptance  by  IKC and  any  display not  complying with the rules will be subject to cancellation without refund. All material for display purposes must be supplied by Vendor and must adhere to the regulations of the Chicago Fire Department.  No  livestock  may  be used.
  12. AKC Rule. This space is rented  with the understanding  that  should  the  privileges  of the  AKC  be  withdrawn  from the Vendor prior to the show, this contract is hereby automatically cancelled and any money paid by purchasers for such space shall NOT be refunded.
  13. Booth Rental Pricing and Amenities. Prices are per booth and do not include tables, chairs, or electric service. Those items must be rented separately. Please contact us for pricing at vendors@ikcchicago.com.
  14. Booth Selection and Payment. Booth rental pricing and locations may be viewed online at greatamericandogshow.com/Chicago/vendors/.  Booth rental pricing varies by location. Please check our website for the most up to date availability.
  15. Booth Relocation. IKC reserves the right to determine the allocation and location of booth space and to relocate booths, if necessary. IKC makes every attempt to maintain booths as reserved but relocation may be necessary. If this is anticipated, IKC will attempt to notify vendor prior to the Event.
  16. Booth Set Up. Booths are to be set-up by the Vendor, between 7:00am and 12:00pm on Thursday, August 24, 2023 (times subject to change). If the Vendor fails to arrive by this time, the Vendor forfeits its booth and the space may be re-sold.   The Vendor is responsible for booth space set up. Nothing can be taped, tacked, or otherwise fastened to the walls, ceiling, chandeliers, or floors.  After load in, vehicles must be parked elsewhere as directed by IKC.
  17. Dismantling. The Vendor must be loaded out of the McCormick Place Lakeside Center by 9:00pm on Sunday, August 27, 2023. Vendor may not dismantle booth displays or do any packing until after the last award has been presented on Sunday, August 27, 2023.  Vendors violating this rule may not be invited to return.
  18. Booth Supervision. The Vendor is responsible for the supervision of the assigned booth and merchandise during the operating hours of the Event including load in and load out. IKC is not responsible for any theft or damage that may occur.
  19. Prohibited Merchandise / Services. IKC reserves the right to approve the types of items being sold by the Vendor. The following items may NOT be sold:
    1. Concessions or food/beverages for human consumption
    2. Animals (pets, service, etc.)
    3. Weapons (guns, bows and arrows, swords, etc.)
    4. Fireworks / Fire / Flames / Sparks
    5. Items bearing the logos of IKC, GADS, AKC or Meet the Breeds.
  1. Monetary Arrangements with Customers. The Vendor is responsible for all monetary exchanges associated with its merchandise, including but not limited to the collection and payment of taxes associated with all merchandise sales as required by State law.
  2. Intellectual Property. The Vendor agrees that the items offered for sale are original or that the Vendor will obtain any and all necessary clearances or licenses. The Vendor agrees that the items offered by the Vendor at the Event shall not infringe the intellectual property rights of others including copyrights and trademark rights. The Vendor agrees to pay any and all royalties or other payments required to be paid on items protected by intellectual property rights of others to insure that IKC is held free from all such liabilities or any other payments for liabilities connected with the Event.
  3. Legal Compliance. Vendor represents that it has complied with all applicable domestic and foreign customs and export/import laws.
  4. Indemnification. Vendor agrees to indemnify and hold harmless IKC and its agents, servants, and employees against all loss, damage and expense that they may sustain or become liable for on account of injury to or death of persons, or on account of damage to or destruction of property resulting in connection with the Event arising out of the actions of the Vendor, its subcontractors, or any other individuals working or volunteering on Vendor’s behalf at the Event or due to or arising in any manner from the wrongful act or negligence of the Vendor, its subcontractors, or any individuals working for or volunteering on Vendor’s behalf at the Event.
  5. Vendor certifies that it is in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. IKC reserves the right to remove any Vendor from the Event if the Vendor, the Vendor’s subcontractors, or anyone working for on volunteering on behalf of the Vendor violates the terms of this Booth Space Agreement.
  6. Choice of law, jurisdiction and venue. This Agreement is created and entered into in the State of Illinois and Illinois law shall govern this Agreement.  The parties hereby stipulate and agree that Illinois shall have exclusive jurisdiction and venue over any dispute arising out of this Agreement.
